Frozen yoghurt bark is a ridiculously easy and fantastic way to feed runny yoghurt to babies as finger food. It’s also a nice frozen yoghurt treat for Mum and Dad!
It’s also perfect if you are taking a baby led weaning approach and only giving your baby food that they can handle and feed to themselves. You can use any kind of fresh or frozen fruit to add into the yoghurt. Frozen berries are delicious, you can also use any kind of ripe fresh fruit – whatever if your or your little ones favourite!
Ingredients / What you need:
- 1/2 cup of natural unflavoured, full fat yoghurt of your choice
- a handful of your chosen fruit or toppings
- a square dish or container
- Baking paper
First, line your square container with enough baking paper to cover the bottom and up the sides of the dish. Pour in your yoghurt and spread out evenly with the back of a spoon. Finally drop in your toppings, making sure that it is pressed into the yoghurt, not just sitting lightly on top.
Transfer your container to the freezer and freeze overnight or for several hours. Take the dish out, pull out the baking paper and working quickly so that it doesn’t melt, break up the “bark” into pieces.
Store in a lidded container in the freezer. This doesn’t last long in my household as everyone loves it – lucky it’s so easy to make!
