Welcome to Livlightly
Hi, I’m Liv! I love cooking fresh wholesome food and am passionate about sharing the major health benefits of cooking great home made meals using real food (i.e. limited packaging, close to how nature intended) and fresh ingredients! I share some of my favourite, delicious foods in my quest to encourage everyone to lead a healthy, active, lighter, real food lifestyle.
I believe that eating nutritious foods at home are a key ingredient in the quest to leading a healthy, long life. If you meal prep delicious, real food meals you will never have to diet again. You are what you eat and if you’re not eating your greens, let me show you how to bring these into your dishes and make them not just edible but full of flavour and fabulousness!
It doesn’t matter what diet you’ve followed or heard about, they all recommend a higher intake of fresh vegetables (I have heard of a crazy potato only diet, but let’s not go there!). A diet that includes plenty of leafy greens and vegetables is known to be important for our health. The problem is, many of us in our busy, rushed lives, haven’t found the time to learn to really cook and prepare food properly at home.
I’m a big believer in the 80/20 rule, it’s not easy or fun to follow a strict diet all of the time and in fact it’s shown that people who follow diets, are actually likely to put on more weight over time! Learning to eat healthily and being organised with your meal prep are a much better way to ensure long term success!
I also know that eating healthy is hard! It takes planning and preparation, but if you follow my simple tips and tricks, cook great meals in bulk portions and always have food options ready to go in your fridge and freezer, you are far more likely to reach for these healthier options and set yourself up for a long term healthy and lean life.
I am putting together healthy meal plans, so if you join the newsletter, you’ll be the first to know when these launch!
